(Plaintiff)
vs.
David Copperfield's Disappearing Inc.
(Defendant)
Civil Action No. MN-05-446 JRT/FLN

To:  Janic Hodge Jensen
CC:  Judge Tunheim; Magistrate Judge Noel

Memorandum 1 - Request for research

I am concerned about the defense spending money on this case, acquiring council in Minnesota, when this suit can be over soon without cost.  I just need to see a magician in private.  I will spend my own money to go to David Copperfield's studio to witness (or explain in detail) magic, namely scenes from David's magic show I have seen in person, but mostly from clips from DVDs I have (altogether, 1 or 2 dozen tricks).  I don't need to see David (I know he's busy), but a magician or assistant that can explain his tricks, (I may also imitate/perform in slow motion), with engineering and scientific principals that don't defy laws of physics.  I will never reveal his tricks to anybody if they are conventional - complete confidentiality.  If godly, then the trick is clear to everyone with nothing said.  I am a scientist and engineer, with very high intelligence, knowledgeable of the law of physics and common sense.  If there is indeed a "smoke and mirrors" concept that can explain away "illusions", then I will drop the suit.  I'm trying to keep this simple.  If the defense doesn't want to invite me on this research of magic, then the courtroom will be more complex, less confidential, and more costly.  It will also show that "keeping it simple" is not the defense's intentions.

Respectfully submitted,
